My @visitmanchester Instagram takeover
Last year, not too long after we first moved to the city, I found myself the superlatively appreciative recipient of a request to takeover Manchester City Council's insta account (with a little theme in the form of colour-hunting, just to prove Manchester most definitely isn't as grey as many are lead to believe!), and after spending the week sharing images, and very much enjoying the platform to connect and converse with those who did and didn't know the city, I made a little 'pick me' wish in the form of wanting and hoping Visit Manchester would do the same!
After shifting my insta-focus, and deciding some months back that I'd like to feature more of the beautiful builds the city is a'flaunting (which is rather a darn lot, if you ask me!), I found myself excitedly featured not once, but twice, on Visit Manchester's account, before they reached out in March to see if I'd be interested in doing that very same thing I'd wished, wanted, and hoped for last year - a takeover!
And so, late last month, I spent the day wandering residents and visitors alike through my Manchester, starting in the area of Ancoats, along the canal and through Piccadilly Village to the University, from there to Castlefield, out and along by the Cathedral, tying the loose ends of the day up in the Northern Quarter.
Below are the images I featured - click on through to have a gander at them over on Visit Manchester's feed, and leave me a comment on the one that feather-tickles your fancy!
