Catch up | Oct/Nov
Many a'day has sloped from one into the next of late, and my intention to share here has suffered at the hands of the same from-here-to-there fate, dragged along (a 'we'll do it tomorrow' - with a 'sure we will' nod of the head - sounded out from the lungs into the blank of page) and through the hours, occasionally settled into and sat with for a minute or two (fingers at the ready, tracing over keys, thoughts fumbled through, and words sort of tap-tapped), and then picked back up again, fleeting possibilities-of-posts abandoned to the did-feel but no-longer-felt flip-flopping of self!
Which is why - on this it's-chucking-it-down-outside Monday - I'm stopping for a moment to share briefly - to finally unfurl my bloomin'-intention from my chest - about things-of-late.
01 | Girl Gang Sheffield - Cirque de la Babes
There's nothing quite like that feeling that bubbles up from the heart when a little reuniting occurs between oneself and those not seen for a while, a rose-tinting of colour that washes over one's head-to-foot, or...in the case of my Sheffield visit, a steady stream of find-it-everywhere glitter, catapulted from my Sheffield thee(s) to me! A visit made to (hands clapped in exuberation!) celebrate Girl Gang Sheffield’s Halloween event Cirque de la Babes, I stomped the night away dressed in (my last minute choice of, poorly executed) bunny-wear (enthusiastically babbled about over here), the next morning chin-wagging over breakfast with my bestest of babes (and the most brilliant of d-i-y costumer-ers, hers being the creepy dolly number), before heading back, far less glittery, but far more full of by-smiles-swallowed light!

02 | Bali Health Lounge
Reaching out and offering myself up as a first-timer guinea pig (of rather ecstatic sorts), I was gifted the opportunity to visit Bali Health Lounge – a super-swish Elemis facial in return for a guest blog post about the experience – which you can read all about over on their blog! Thoughts and words very much my own!
03 | Liverpool
A city-trip can rarely – least of all by me and my tendency-to-loop-a-doop-around-with-words way – be summed up in a paragraph, and so I may just head back here to finish my already-started (albeit still very much in draft form!) dedicated-to post.
Until then, I'll leave you with this photo album...expect Beatles and skies of blue!
04 | Christmas Markets
More of a bah-humbug type than a throw-my-hands-up-in-glee appreciator of the season, I’ve succumbed to a little frosty-heart thawing this year, already having visited numerous Christmas markets across the city, snapping visitors to The Winter Gathering at London Road’s fascinating once-was Fire Station, and snaking my way through the busy crowds of the centre’s Albert Square, and many moreof the wooden-shack and black-marque-d numbers, to do my darn-tootin’ hardest to capture some of the festive spirit strung up like tinsel around the necks of all the merry beings. Next stop? Somewhere to get my gloved-mitts on my very own Manchester Christmas Markets mug!
05 | the darkest dawn
After having been contacted the week before last by Jane about a PT social media position she knew someone was looking to fill, I now find myself the not-really-juggler of 2 jobs, in my 'daytime' position as an actually-described-as 'mundane secretary' (cheers!) and an afternoon social media assistant for a British digital movie label, promoting their first release. It's something that - as a content creator - I'm most jazz-hands-tastically excited by, and know is very much beneficial to my from-here-into-the-future hopes, thus I'm greatly appreciating the opportunity to expand my social-meeeeds skills set!
06 | cake and Christmas markets
Since moving to the city in August, and after taking over Manchester City Council’s Instagram account (exposing my own shares to a wider audience, most gratefully!), I’ve found myself partaking in many wonderful with-those-already-in-Manchester conversations, connecting with people in the Instagram community who reside-right-beside me. One such conversation even led to a face-to-face meet with Niki, more of which I talk about – where else! – on Instagram (where you’ll find me almost-daily mini blogging!). I'm still coming down from a cake high! Next up? I’m hoping for a tea-and-natter with this most celestial-sparkling of gals, Lima!
Tell me, what have you been up to of late? How has the autumnal season been treating your sweet selves? Grant it, how I know this world of ours hasn’t been dealt - to put it most-mildly - the easiest of hands of late, and so…any shares of gratitude, and positivity, is most – arms spread wide – welcomed!
